I have known Rosalie for over twenty years and witnessed her work on a variety of high-profile developments,
but she always left me with two overarching impressions.
A sublime understanding of colour, and an almost vulnerable empathy with the surrounding environment.
Rosalie never does anything half-hearted. Indeed, like all people who are driven by a strong moral compass, it is essential for her that she can commit to a cause of substance. Renovating and designing the award-winning Shoon store in Bath (and later in Marylebone High Street, London) was a ‘labour of love’ in the true sense of the words. A most demanding project, not least in terms of balancing design intent with commercial realities, Rosalie created a store which had so many ‘trails and layers’ that it became a must-see for anyone interested in pushing the retail design envelope.
